Soda makes you fat

at least this holds true for me.

I have kept my same exercise routine with a little mixing here and there and nothing happened. The weight would not come off. I cut back on this food and that food. Nothing. Finally I decided to cut back on my Mt Dew. I drink 2 per day and that's it.....honestly I don't think that's alot. I guess to my body it is because once I cut back I lost weight week after week.

Every other day I only have 1 Mt Dew. I just cant deprive myself (yet) and get rid of it totally. I did try diet Mt Dew but couldn't get past the first drink. The Husband had to finish it for me. (he will eat or drink anything) I am only losing around 1lb per week but still I was so shocked that I was finally continuously losing.

We wont talk about me being sick all last week and then getting ready for school to start this week.....that has delayed the exercise a bit.

So ladies, soda may be the key for you too! (I'm a slow learner)

Soda made me chibs! I was drinking a TON and when I switched to Diet I lost 8 pounds INSTANTLY (granted I was 25, but still....) I cannot give up my diet mt dew, so I still drink TONS, but at least it has 0 calories! :) Great work on the losses!!!

Diet soda is almost worse, scary stuff I heard from CNN!

One of these days, I'll go cold turkey. :)

Heck yeah you are right on girl!! Soda makes you retain water and puts your whole body out of whack. Stay strong! And keep up the great work!!

I tend to drink more of it during the summer months, but even with diet, i lose faster when I cut it ALL out and just increase my water intake. but I agree...it is freaking HARD to stop!!! good luck girl!! keep it up!

THanks for stopping by my blog, I totally agree with this. I usually only have about 1 soda per week, and I can't even drink the entire thing.

There's a lonnngg list of what is in it - that you shouldn't have. chemicals..sugars..list goes on and on. Good for you for cutting back!

I don't lose weight when I stop drinking soda...I'm just less bloated.

I love soda so I still drink it....but less.

Regular soda has about 2 (or 3??) heaping spoonfuls of sugar per can, so it totally makes sense that dropping it from your diet will help to lose the weight. Everything I drink (except for wine) has 0 calories. I prefer to eat my calories.

2 cans of Mt Dew a day = 330 calories. Cutting that out will DEFINITELY help with weight loss :) If I could only give up the coffee (light and sweet, please!)

I know what you say is true...but I LOVE my soda (or pop as we call it!) lol.
