How much does it cost to get into a zoo with free admission?
Pretty simple, huh?
Well the actual answer is $60. Yes, SIXTY dollars! I am going on a field trip with M to the zoo and they take charter buses. So I guess it costs $30 each to ride the bus because that price isn't for lunch or admission.
Oh well, I will pay, go and we will have a blast. M has never been to 'the big zoo'. I'm really excited. The trip is in April but we got the paperwork for it yesterday. We knew it was happening though because its a known highlight of being a 2nd grader.

sounds like fun! We don't have a zoo anywhere closer then 8 hours away!
Robyn, what a cutie in your pic!
What an expensive free trip! It will be, like you said, worth it though. Have fun!
Have fun!!! You going to the National Zoo?
It will be fun...seems like a rip off but she'll love you for it! lol.
Hi there! Dont feel bad,I had two of those field trips back to back a few years ago, yikes. My son and daughter each had one within a week of each other. Nothing like putting a crimp in your wallet for a field trip/ Whatever happen to the good ole days where you paced a lunch and went to the park. Im not that old...smile but I dont ever remember spending a ton on a field trip. I do remember once my class went to see Pipi Longstocking.....oh the memories. Hope ayll have a great time and make some wonderful memories~
you have to pay 60 bucks WOW?!?! That is expensive especially if the zoo is free?!? You will have a great time though!!! I am hoping to get my kids to the dc zoo this spring... We have not yet made it there and I USED to take the kids I babysat ALL the time.... go figure. Enough about me though ;) Have a great trip! It will be super fun!!!
Take lots of pictures. Gotta get your money's worth. :-)
