A little of This and A little of That

I just feel like talking today.

Yesterday was Parent Teacher Conference and it went well, as usual. Madison got all A's on her report card and she is reading at 97% of a 6th grade level. She can read some 7th grade but they didn't test her too much in that. She is only in 2nd grade and 7 1/2 years old. {that sounds old when I just typed it} She is in the top reading and spelling group of her class. The teacher said that Madison has a great little group of friends and they all get along wonderfully. I don't like to encourage cliques but Madison and 4 other little girls are so close this year. I only mention this because M used to be suuuuper shy. Like not even look at you kind of shy. She has improved so much since starting school.

Staci asked about the Wii fit that I just got. Honestly, I haven't even had time to mess around with it yet. The night my mom gave it to me she stayed awhile and then it was time to put Madison to bed (after time, actually) then it was LOST time. Last night we had PTC(read above) and then went to CiCi's for a school fundraiser. Of course there was a stop at Target too. I let M pick out something for doing super in school. I didn't mention a price but she picked out something for only $10 so I got off lucky. The Husband thought I was setting myself up by not setting a limit. ha, I showed him! Ok, back to the Wii.......I got on it a little last night before Grey's came on and I really enjoyed the yoga. I am not the best hula hooper, so Staci there will be no competition from me for your title.

LOST just isn't capturing my attention this season. I don't know what it is. I'm not big on the time shift thing. I love Jack and Kate, maybe that's it, they haven't been on very much together. It was nice to see Jin still alive. In the previous years there had to be total silence for me to catch every-little-bit of the show. Now I sit with my laptop and watch the show. {there's that Internet addiction again}

May 15th will be one year of quitting smoking for me. The Husband quit April 15, I couldn't do it until he did. Yes I still miss it. The craving has lessened some but I still think about smoking. I have been on the verge many times of "just having one" but I know I wouldn't be able to stop.

See this is what happens when people comment! Staci asked questions so she got her very own post. There is no award, crown or prize here.....just answers. sorry!

I know just what you mean about LOST not fully capturing your attention this year... It is doing the same for me! I think I liked this weeks so much because Jack and Kate were in it more.... I have been wondering though.... Do you think with all their time shifts that maybe we will see what started the "smoke monster"? A friend of ours was aying that maybe all the wispwering in the forest has always been them during the time shifts? Way toooooo deep for me.... Congrats on Miss MAdison doing so well in school! That is FANTASTIC!

Get on that Wii!!! I want to know if you love it.

Madison is so gifted to be able to read at that level at such a young age. I hope she always loves to read.

Urgh! I wanted to edit my comment but couldn't find the option.

Anyway, you don't have the check box thingy either. How I got it was...change your comments to 'pop up in new window' or something to that effect. Then the checkbox appears!
